Jaffa Café, San Luis Obispo, has been voted “Best of SLO County” six years in a row by the readers of the New Times of SLO County and was recently selected by Senator Bill Monning as his “Small Business of the Year.” With two additional locations in Arroyo Grande and Paso Robles (in the last year), one thing is for sure, this authentic Mediterranean restaurant is doing something right!

When asked what is the key to their success is, Owner and Operator of the Arroyo Grande location, Ali Saleh, pointed to their community involvement. “Getting involved in charity events, offering donations to local foundations and a friendly, welcoming staff has been the key to our success,” Saleh stated. Another contributing factor, Jaffa Café makes all of their food, right down to the syrup for their famous baklava, fresh and in house daily. With their menus varying slightly by location, Saleh points out that it’s important to make everything on the spot.

With easy parking, pet-friendly patios (Arroyo Grande and Paso Robles locations), printable menu order forms, the capability to cater up to 1,500 people, an expansive vegetarian menu selection (about half of their menu is vegetarian friendly) and clean, spacious interiors, it’s no wonder Jaffa Café has been such a Central California success story.
